SMS
Orion has a built-in SMS console to be able to send SMS directly to devices from the platform. To send an SMS, simply select the SIM, or SIMs where you want to send the SMS and then select the Send button. You can also copy the ICCID and paste it into the field that says to:
On the left side of the console the history of messages that have been sent from other ICCIDs will be displayed. Once the message has been sent a check mark will appear indicating that the message has passed through our messaging platform, the second check mark indicates that the message has passed through our trading partner's messaging platform. In the Message field type the SMS you want to send, once you have typed the message press the send button. In case you receive a reply SMS and if the device is enabled to reply you will be able to see the reply in the console, similar to a text chat conversation in whatsapp. With this SMS console we have eliminated the dependency on MSISDN to receive messages.
