The Limited Access feature in Orion serves as a mechanism to address various account-related concerns, primarily focusing on instances where account accessibility needs to be restricted temporarily. It's essential to differentiate between Limited Access and Suspended statuses: while Limited Access restricts access to the Orion platform without suspending services to any SIM card, Suspended status suspends SMS and Data services to all SIM cards within the account and sub-accounts.

When an account is designated as having Limited Access, several key actions are triggered to ensure smooth account management and security.

Upon confirmation, a snapshot of all user statuses associated with the account is captured, including details such as active, inactive, pending, and other user statuses for reference purposes.

Non-admin users within the account are automatically suspended to prevent unauthorized access during the Limited Access period. Additionally, the system verifies that there is at least one admin user associated with the account to maintain essential management capabilities.

For direct customers, attempting to log in during Limited Access status triggers a notification informing them of the account suspension due to payment issues. This notification includes a link to resolve the payment matter, ensuring transparency and providing a pathway for resolution.

Manual reactivation of the account post-Limited Access status is facilitated by the finance department to uphold security and compliance standards.

Only users with admin privileges have the default capability to change an account's status to Limited Access, enhancing security and control over account management functions.

Account status changes, including transitions to Limited Access, are meticulously tracked in Orion Events. This tracking provides a transparent record of actions taken and by whom, ensuring accountability and transparency in account management.

In addition to status tracking, if the Limited Access status changes to "Active," all users revert to their original status before the designation of Limited Access.

Furthermore, the Limited Access status entails blocking of relevant APIs and revocation of all API keys/tokens associated with the account. This comprehensive approach enhances account security and compliance with industry standards.
